Fifth Generation 84. Anna Clara FERNANDES (Miguel Cletus40, John Francis (Deputy Collector)10, Custodius4, Francisco1) was born on Jul 27, 1861, was baptized on Aug 31, 1861 in Holy Rosary Church, Tellicherry India, and died on Jul 28, 1935 in Kannur, Kerala, India at age 74.
Anna married John PEREIRA, son of John Emmanuel PEREIRA and Eugenia COELHO, in 1879 in Rosario Cathedral, Mangalore. John was born in 1851, died on May 13, 1921 in Kannur, Kerala, India at age 70, and was buried on May 14, 1921 in Kannur, Kerala, India.
Marriage Notes: They were married at Rosario Cathedral in 1879. This is known from the Rosario marriage index; unfortunately the register of that period is missing and so the precise date of the marriage is not known. Their first four sons were baptized at Rosario Cathedral. John was then posted in Mangalore as a P.W.D. inspector. They later settled in Cannanore where their three youngest children were born.
John Pereira's will - written in 1920 - is of considerable interest to family historians. He died just one year later: 13 May 1921 aged 70. Anna Clara died on 28 July 1935 aged 75. Both are buried in the Holy Trinity Church, Cannanore.
John Pereira's seaside bungalow in Cannanore Cantonment still survives - though it is no longer in the possession of the family.

Thereafter, Greta worked for at a hospital at Vijayawada run by nuns, till she died in 1966. Greta Baretto's daughter Angela married Cyril Aranha, an engineer in Telco, Jamshedpur, and had 4 children.
