1. Emmanuel BRAGA was born circa 1753.
General Notes: According to research carried out by Fr Baptist Braggs, O.F.M. Cap., the Braga family of Omzoor descends from Emmanuel Braga, who was brought as a boy from Goa for domestic service by Fr Salvador Emmanuel, parish priest of Omzoor in 1768.
Braggs is perhaps anglized from Braga or is the shortened version of Braganza.
The spelling Braga is found in most 19th century records at the Holy Family Church, Omzoor, but by the early 20th century, the spelling Braggs had been adopted by virtually every member of the Omzoor Braga family.
Emmanuel married Theresa.
Children from this marriage were:

+ 5 iv. James BRAGA was born in 1809.
