General Notes: Isobella, her husband Andre Laurence and her parents-in-law all died within days of each other possibly in a cholera epidemic.

Anna married Andre Laurence MAAS, son of Carlos MAAS and Roza MOREIRA, on Nov 20, 1828. Andre was born circa 1795 and died on Aug 6, 1838 about age 43.

8. Isobella LOPES (Antoine⁵, Pedro⁴, Antonio², Antonio¹) was born in 1811 and died on Mar 9, 1861 at age 50.

Isobella married Françisco Xavier LOPES, son of Sebastien LOPES and Martha DE ROZARIO, on Apr 25, 1843 in Mahé, Kerala, India. Françisco was born on Apr 5, 1785 in Mahé, Kerala, India and died on Jan 15, 1855 in Mahé, Kerala, India at age 69.

   20    v. Elizabeth Josephine LOPES was born on Sep 20, 1849 in Mahé, Kerala, India.

General Notes: Godparents were Felix Xavier Lopes and Luiza Armande Rozario.

Elizabeth married Paul D'CRUZ, son of Miguel Antonio D'CRUZ and Dominga PEREIRA, in 1883.

Françisco Xavier Lopes was baptised on the 22nd of April, 1785 at the chapel of St Anna at the church of St Theresa d'Avilla at Mahé.

In his Internment entry, François Xavier Lopes is listed as the Commissaire de Police of Mahé as well as "Husier, interprête du tribunal de 1ère instance" which translated into English means "Usher, interpreter of the court of 1st authority". The record was handwritten in 1855 and the ink has faded. So though there is much more information it is very difficult to read.

Françisco married Therese DE ROZARIO on Feb 1, 1813 in Mahé, Kerala, India. Therese was born in 1787 and died on May 20, 1842 at age 55.

   24    i. Baby LOPES was born in Feb 1814 and died on Feb 14, 1814.

   25    ii. Baby LOPES was born in Apr 1815 and died on Apr 23, 1815.

   26    iii. Baby LOPES was born in Mar 1817 and died in Mar 1817.

General Notes: According to an entry in the family BMD diary he was baptised at Mahé on 17th March 1817.

+ 27    iv. Felix Xavier LOPES was born on Apr 21, 1832 in Mahé, Kerala, India and died on Aug 2, 1906 in Mahé, Kerala, India at age 74.

Françisco next married Isobella LOPES, daughter of Antoine LOPES and Maria Anna D'CRUZ, on Apr 25, 1843 in Mahé, Kerala, India. Isobella was born in 1811 and died on Mar 9, 1861 at age 50.
