18. John SALDANHA (Francis⁹, Bonaventure², Antonio¹) was born in 1750 and died in 1810 at age 60. Other names for John are FORSHET and Angad JOAO.

General Notes: John Saldanha is the head of the largest branch of the Shet Saldanha family of which information can be found. He was a shopkeeper and was commonly known as Angad Joao. His wife Anna was a sister of Salvador Abreo, the earliest known member of the Bolar Abreo families. Both John and Salvador were captives in Seringapatam.

John married Anna Philipa ABREO, daughter of ABREO, in 1791. Anna was born circa 1760.

   31    v. Lawrence SALDANHA was born in 1793 and died in 1821 at age 28.

Lawrence married Monica COELHO, daughter of Cajetan COELHO and Emiliana LOBO. Monica was born circa 1803.

+ 32    vi. Martha SALDANHA was born in 1796.

+ 33    vii. Sabina SALDANHA was born in 1800 and died in 1856 at age 56.

+ 34    viii. Nicholas SALDANHA was born circa 1805.
